Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for testing applications in multiple environments and assisting various business areas to coordinate user acceptance testing.
The successful applicant must display a "Can do" attitude with attention to detail who possess excellent communication and liaison skills, computer skills.
Ideally, the candidate is interested enhancing their skills and learning new technologies.
This role will work closely with all areas to ensure consistent outcomes are achieved within the agreed testing scope.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following
- Assist the Quality and Assurance team in Scripting and executing test cases for test automation purposes;
- Liaise between business and technology to develop an understanding of functional and non-functional project requirements for IT projects;
- Supports the testing environment and testing life cycle by reporting defects using the defined reporting process;
- Analyses and identifies system defects through functional, regression, and system testing. Appropriately escalates these issues as defined by the processes; and
- Support the Change Advisory Board;
To be successful in this role you will have;
- Testing experience, preferably in a Commonwealth Government agency;
- Experience working under an Agile Scrum development methodology;
- International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ITSQB) Certification would be an advantage Experience in Win7 Operating system;
- Extensive experience in MS Office computer applications;
- Desirable experience in Mercury Quality Centre 11, Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Test Manager, TRIM, Finance One and applications that have been developed in-house;
- Thorough Understanding of the Software Development Life cycle (SDLC);
- Proven track record of achieving results with a strong desire to work in a high performing team.
