Linux team manager - ChicagoAs a Linux Engineering team manager you will be responsible for the leadership, delivery and development of the 4500 server Linux environment of this large Finance organization. You will be ensuring on time project delivery, operational readiness as well as implementation of new Linux innovations. Please keep in mind that whilst managing a team of around 10 fte, you will be working in a very much hands-on role - hence current technical skills are going to be essential.
Some of the projects you will be responsible for include the delivery of:
- automation of the environment
- - monitoring infrastructure build outs
Your profile:
- BSc is a must
- Excellent hands-on Linux engineering skills in a Trading/Finance environment
- Management experience is a MUST (at least 2 years)
- Excellent project leadership skills
- Strong technical skills in Monitoring/automation
You will be offered a role in a team that is growing and will be given responsibility over a very large enterprise linux environment. On offer is a base compensation of up to 135k plus 15% bonus as well as excellent benefits.
