Description
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Circa £55K. AberdeenProgressive Global Energy is currently working with a downhole engineering company in the recruitment of a Senior Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in their Aberdeen office.
You will be responsible for seeing projects through from design conception through to testing and implementation as well as upgrading existing designs. You will manage a small portfolio of projects including all resources to ensure that work carried out is done so within project deliverables.
The position will be very much a client facing role; taking on board any end user feedback that you may receive then implementing this into any required design alterations. Alongside this you will provide your technical knowledge and skills to various divisions of the business.
Day to day activities include:
- Project Management from conception through to commercialisation
- 3D Modelling
- Design Development
- Design Review
- Verification of design by calculations
- Test Planning
- Prototype Assembly
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of downhole products
- Experience of mechanical analysis of downhole tools (Including FEA)
- Experience of material selection for downhole products
- Manufacturing methods
