Description
Commvault Simpana Specialist to work in the Backup Engineering within an investment bank, leading the successful migration away from Netbackup to the Commvault Simpana platform.
Responsibilities:
Provide innovative technical solutions to complex hardware/software problems
Provide guidance and assist with installation and maintenance of standard software/hardware on backup system devices
Reproduce and identify problems in the Engineering test labs
Gathering requirements and writing technical documentation in line with SLAs
Independently negotiate with stakeholders for sign off on technical specifications
Provide detailed and effective communication to internal team and vendors
Experience:
Proven IT experience with at solid background spent deploying & managing Enterprise service level engagements
Commvault Simpana architecture and configuration, as well as strong Netbackup domain experience
Storage resource management, data search and discovery, active data migration and archiving, backup and recovery
Investment banking background
Good understanding of Data Protection Advisories, Data Domain, and hardware (Dell, Oracle)
Good knowledge of Networking
Windows engineering background (highly desirable)
