The key Responsibilities will include:

Implementing processes and key controls which govern the day to day activities of the cost basis function to minimise Operational Risk.

Developing and maintaining accurate Cost Basis policies and procedures.

Develop test cases, script writing and execute User Acceptance Testing; identify, analyzing and communicating defects to IT partners.

Maintaining working knowledge of industry best practices and ongoing IRS guidance

Promoting open communication lines with business partners, most importantly service, to ensure unified understanding and direction of all operational initiatives.

These requirements needed are:

Knowledge of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, Broker Reporting of Customer Cost Basis Information.

Understanding of Cost Basis Reporting with regards to Wash Sale Rules, Accounting Methods (i.e. FIFO), Transfer of Assets, Corporate Actions, Short Sale, Corporate Services and Tax Reporting.

Ability to work with internal/external business partners as needed to identify and document process and system enhancements for increased productivity, quality and efficiency.

Keen attention to service levels, customer demands as well as risk and control management.

Knowledge of operational business processes, policies and systems. ADP Experience is a plus.
