Storage System Engineer
Location: Brussels
Duration: 6 months + extensions (Long term opportunity)
Start: ASAP
Storage System Engineer acts as account SME for complex Storage and Backup environments.
Responsible for day to day management of the storage environment, processes assigned tickets or calls, perform diagnostics on problems and solves them.
Next to this, they also writes procedures to solve recurring problems and searches for ways to improve efficiency
Contract extensions are common.
1. Technical skills
- Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM)
o Experience in maintaining and problem solving on TSM Servers
o Experience with DS8000, DS6000, DS and SAN Volume Controller (SVC)
o Good knowledge in LUN assignments, LUN mapping and masking
- SAN (Brocade 48000, DCX)
o experience with SAN fabrics, preferably with Brocade products
o experience with SAN zoning and port configurations
- Excellent knowledge about AIX (network, LVM skills, ...), advanced Linux Skills
- In depth knowledge of Netapp
- Advanced knowledge of XIV
2. Other skills
- Client oriented
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to assess risks and criticality of issues to appropriately prioritize activities
- Good communication skills
- Being a team player
- Fluent in English, both writing and speaking. Good knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
- Very mature in taking ownership and in showing dedication
