We are actively screening and interviewing candidates for the following:

TITLE:  SAP HCM BN/ECM System Support

Location:  Norfolk, VA 23502

Type:  Contract - 6 months +

Rate:  Market/Competitive

Our client is seeking resumes for SAP HCM system support contractor. The candidate will be working directly with the HCM support team, ABAP development team members and HR office personnel.  As part of the SAP HCM support team, the candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day support of the HCM Benefits (BN) and Enterprise Compensation Management (ECM) functionality enabled within the SAP implementation including, but not limited to, IMG configuration, problem research, and testing.  The candidate should have an understanding of the SAP HCM environment at a significant level to allow for sound decision making ability and recognition of downstream impacts of such decisions. 

Education:  4-year College Degree preferred but not required

Experience required:

  • 2-5+ years of experience with recent experience with HCM Benefits (BN) and Enterprise Compensation Management (ECM) Implementations/Production Support
  • Detailed knowledge of Benefits module, as well as Payroll integration points
  • Detailed knowledge of ECM module, including budget, market surveys, stock awards, bonus payments, and annual merit processes
  • Experience configuring within the SAP IMG
  • Significant ability to read, interpret, and write functional specs, design logic, and program algorithms
  • Significant ability to extract data and develop ad-hoc reports using any number of tools available (MS Access, Excel)
  • Familiarity with HCM Personnel Administration, Org Management
  • Familiarity with SAP portal and portal processes for HR as it relates to Benefits Enrollment through ESS.
  • Working knowledge of general HR business processes

Description of Duties:

  • Support HR business partners in their daily operation
  • Help resolve defects, both development issues or SAP software bugs
  • Support Interfaces between SAP and other internal and external systems
  • Retrieve and analyze ECC data using underlying database tables
  • Maintain Benefits and Enterprise Compensation Management Configuration
  • Collaborate with system support team members to gather, interpret, document and clearly define functional and technical requirements
  • Build and maintain documentation for functional specs and testing scripts
  • Execute test scripts, create test data, and validate test results
    • Share knowledge of HCM functionality with team members

This position is located in our Norfolk, VA office building with a January start date.  Some travel may be required but will not exceed 10%.   Duration of contract is expected to last 6 months with the option to renew the contract or permanently hire.
