Job descriptionMainframe z/OS System Programmer works to maintain (main area), install, document and customize the mainframe operating system and installed software.
The individual is self-starting, works with related architects and administrators and meets deadlines as negotiated.
The candidate should be self organized, eager to learn with strong sense of analysis & troubleshooting skills person.
This is a technical role which also requires strong analytical and problem solving skills. Experience in support and deployment with z/OS Operating System, is desired.
Main responsibilities in project:
RACF Operations - using zSecure, RACF Request Fulfillment, Understand how permission management requests come in and how they need to be verified and documented, Access Management standards, Mainframe Security Standard.
Mainframe Operations - Conduct Vendor Escalations, be able to create a vendor problem record and support the escalation with the necessary documentation. Mainframe Monitoring Tools - MainView, CMM, zAware.
Must Have Requirements
Fully understand z/OS services structure, JES concepts, parallel sysplex/GDPS, catalog management
SMP/E
RACF experience
PARMLIB configuration and JES customization
JCL, REXX
LPAR, HMC
RMF/EREP
SDSF
