Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review and understand Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Technical Specifications
Attend Business Requirement and Technical Design Review meetings with the project team and ask questions to clarify the business request and technical solution
Write Test Plans based on BRD and Technical Specifications and review with subject matter experts
Design, write and execute test cases for all supported applications and change requests
Verify changes to the pre-enrollment system function correctly and meet the business partners requirements
Document test results and update Sharepoint with all supporting test documentation
Work effectively with business analysts, developers and architects to ensure projects are properly tested and defects are resolved
Communicate status and progress of testing effort to QA Advisor and project team members
Conduct post production testing when appropriate. Flexibility to work evenings
Skill and Experience Details:
Test Automation
Should be capable to understand the underlying technology on the various automation tools.
Should be capable to evaluate the best tool to the client.
Should be capable to create the required automation framework to the client.
Web Testing
Should have good knowledge & concepts of UI validations, GUI features etc.
Concepts of Globalization and Localization testing will be an added advantage
Application Testing
Should be able to differentiate the different testing phases like Unit Integration, System, Acceptance, Regression testing and should be capable to perform these tests with
the help of ready-test cases.
Should understand Test Plans, Requirement Traceability Matrix, Orthogonal Array Tool.
Should be able to do metrics analysis and reliability analysis effectively with DFA tool.
Web Testing
Should have good knowledge & concepts of UI validations, GUI features etc. Concepts of Globalization and Localization testing will be an added advantage
Mainframe Testing
Should be capable of Test Architecture and Solutioning, Technical Guidance and Resolution. Should have advanced knowledge in any of the Mainframe topic
