Financial Accountant Project Analyst
For our client in The Hague we are looking for a Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst.
Description:
The FA is expected to be the end to end holder financials data and records. She/He would be the single point of contract for the budgetholder's queries relating to costs capturing, reporting, recoveries and analysis.
Some key activities that are expected out of the FA are detailed below:
Key activities
Prepare pack detailing summary results for overall DV (Flash results and detailed pack)
Prepare pack detailing LE summary for overall DV
Burn analysis for overall DV
Support for utilisation and management of Contingency
Preparing supporting packs for benefits case and economic analyses for projects (NPV & IRR)
Ground work for all SG sign offs below $500K
Efficiency and Effectiveness related work
Presence in BCM-CPI-Service Forum working sessions (new expectation staring this week)
Validation and approvals less than $5M for Credit Notes & Accruals for GF DV
Support on providing data to ES on YTD KAS spend
Presence in DV Service Forums across all four areas
MRD Related:
Approval for WBSE Creation/Sales Order Creation
WBSE Budget Change Requests
Staff Cost Center Change Requests
Tariff Calculation for Staff
Decision on WBSE Blocking/Closure
Cost Capturing, Reporting, Analysis and Recovery
IQN Cost Analysis for Accruals
Cost Accruals Discussion with PMs and PMOs
MJE validation for Cost/Revenue Accruals prior to Posting into SERP
Any cost query
MI and Other related activities:
Overall SERP vs. PRT Comparison and reporting
Discussion with PMs on Actual vs. LE; Actual vs. PRT variances
MI Review with CC Leads at Application/Portfolio level
CAPEX Billing/Transfer and CAPEX reporting to Controllers
Budgeting/Planning & LE
Project Level LE projection based on PRT Data and the discussion with CC Leads
Contingency management
Finalising overall LE with contingency & Management adjustment
Communiaction of finalised LE to all the Key stakeholders
Updating Projects LE details in COGNOS and SERP
Ensuring alignment of LE between COGNOS and PRT
Other Adhoc project Support:
All SG checks and sign-off
Mandatory Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education requirements:
Graduate (Bachelors/Masters) level Finance degree. We are looking for candidates with broad finance management and accounting skills who have the ability to pick up new skills and technologies fairly quickly. Applicants must have experience in roles where they held similar accountabilities to those listed above.
The key competences required:
Fluent English speaking/writing is mandatory
Experience in project cost management in complex projects
Experience in Dash-boarding, financial management and change control
Experience in the development and implementation of a finance project controls frameworks
