Objective of the function
The Custom Applications functional analyst is in direct contact with the respective business departments to capture their needs in the context of new projects (but also within the context of maintenance and optimization activities). He/she will, based on these needs, translate this to deliver feasible, efficient and workable solutions for the applications within the area of the Custom Applications team. He/she reports to the application manager.
Responsibilities
*Captures the business needs from project managers and business users and challenge them
*Align when needed with the colleagues from the other teams
*Delivers functional specifications
*Estimate the necessary time to deliver the solutions and follow-up on these estimates during the build phase of the project. Maintain a high development quality. Assist and follow-up the user acceptance tests. You are the IT counterpart for the business PM.
*Deliver documentation
*Be in close contact with the Custom application developers
Education/experience level
*Universitary education (or equivalent through experience)
*Minimum 3 years of experience. Medior or senior profile
*Proven experience regarding functional analysis in a .NET or Java environment is a MUST
*Experience in an agile/scrum development way of working
*Knowledge of the energy market and its processes is an asset
