Description

An Optical Research Scientist is required by a global leading semiconductor organisation on a long term contract basis. These systems are used by the major semiconductor manufacturers to create integrated circuits that power an array of electronic, communications and IT products. The successful candidate will have a chance to work in the Research Department, with state of the art technology and work alongside world-class engineers.

Job Responsibilities
As an Optical Research Scientist, you will be responsible for:
• Generation of ideas for a variety of physical metrology principles and the required technologies.
• Contribute to a feasibility study.
• Contribute to a first-of-a-kind system architecture study.
• Build a research prototype-tool.

Job Requirement
• Ph.D in Experimental Physics, with expertise in optics, and building optical laboratory set-ups.
• The candidate will have at least 3-to-5 years experience with building experimental laboratory set-ups; and experience in the areas of optical imaging is highly preferred.
