A Global Biopharmaceutical organisation currently requires an experienced Maintenance Planner to work at their facility in Ireland.

This position provides expertise and coordination of resources in maintenance activities for equipment used in the manufacture API. The individual must possess an in-depth knowledge of equipment and processes. The planner is responsible for ensuring planning and scheduling activities are performed in timely, effective and efficient manners to improve work force productivity and work quality.

Duties:
•Generate work orders based on work notification from operations groups, and based on the predetermined schedule within the Maximo Computerised Maintenance Management System.
•Utilising Maximo, generate metrics to track performance to goals, manage work order backlog, track equipment history and repair costs.
•Screen work notification, align the work requests to the needs of the business, and generating work orders for valid needs.
•Act as liaison between Operations/Engineering and Maintenance, the planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordination of all planable maintenance work performed within the facility
•Proactively identify problems and maintenance needs allowing the repair work to be well planned; materials, resources, and supplies obtained in advance and the work scheduled when it is most convenient and cost effective for the business.
•Plan in advance for the preparation of maintenance jobs and resources so they can be performed in an efficient and effective manner during execution. Estimate job requirements including number/type of technicians to be assigned, number of man hours per task.
•Meet daily with the maintenance managers or designee to develop daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
••Comply with all company policies and procedures, and adhere to company standards.
•Lead person responsible for planning in conjunction with team leads and specialists for all site shutdown works.
•Participate in safety initiatives and safety investigations.
•Participate in internal and external audits and inspections.
•Assist in identifying and communication of quality-related trends and facilitates implementation of corrective actions.
Financial:
•Participate in development of site maintenance budgets.
•Assist in determination of appropriate staffing for maintenance activities and provides input into development of capital plans.

Qualifications & Requirements:
•Hold a Third level qualification in an Engineering, Manufacturing or demonstrated equivalent maintenance experience.
•4 years’ experience as a Maintenance Scheduler/Planner or equivalent.
•Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities.
•Team player committed to working in a quality environment.
•Demonstrated interpersonal, technical aptitude and problem solving skills.
•Knowledge of maintenance practices and processes.
•Good mechanical and/or engineering background.
•Working knowledge of regulatory and code requirements for related fields.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•A proven track record for effectively collaborating and working well within a team and cross functionally.
•cGMP experience in an API pharmaceutical environment.
•Experience with Maximo and planning software.
•Manufacturing experience with high-volume and lean/sigma operations.
