Project environmentA global Swiss Bank is looking for an ESTA Change and Release Manager who is responsible for overseeing Change and Release Management activites for the entire ESTA Application Portfolio (which covers IT Service Management, IT Asset Management, Event Monitoring and Reporting applications for all divisions of the bank). The additional aspect of the role is Application Release Manager for the ServiceNow application, which is the platform used for Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request Management across the bank.
Tasks
Key Tasks:
• Central Release Planning.
• Scheduling Conflict Management.
• Chairing and coordination of the ESTA Change Advisory Board.
• Definition and ownership of the Central Release Management Process and continuous process improvement activities.
• Ensuring that all activities comply with both the bank’s Global and ESTA standards and processes.
• Ensuring that Release/Change related data is archived appropriately.
• Representing ESTA at the Global Change Advisory Board and Release Management Forum and providing related Management and KPI Reports.
ServiceNow:
• Day to day Release Management activities:
o Release Scheduling.
o Preparing Release Communications including Release Notes.
o Overseeing that key Lifecycle Milestones have been met.
• Planning of Deployment Support activities.
• Managing release related issues, risks and escalations.
Requirements
• 2-3 years’ experience as a Release/Change Manager or detailed working knowledge of Release and Change processes
• 5 years’ experience in IT
• Service oriented Project Management experience
• Understanding of different development methodologies
Technical skills
Must have:
• Good computer skills including the MS office suite
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• ITIL Intermediate Level:
o Service Lifecycle – Service Transition and Service Operation
o Service Capabilities – Release, Control and Validations and Plannig, Protection and Optimisation
Advantage
