Our client works within the music industry in Europe. They have very trendy offices in Bermondsey and provide services to some of music's most iconic stars. This is a great opportunity for a programmer who wants to get involved with all aspects of SQL Server.
As MS SQL Server Programmer / DBA, you provide operational SQL Server reporting services, with a focus on analyzing, specifying, designing and implementing reporting solution on large datasets. Reporting, performance tuning and database tuning are of the essence. Should you encounter data-related, issues, it is part of your duty to track and resolve them.
The client is working with tables that have over a billion records and this number doubles about every eighteen months. Candidates who have worked with very large datasets will be at home here.
Candidates with SQL Server or SSIS certification will be at an advantage. The client is happy to accept applications from programmers who have been working with SQL Server 2008 but would be very glad to see some SQL Server 2012 on the CV.
Other technologies they use and like candidates to have experience with include SharePoint, ER diagramming, Visual Basic and Tableau.
