Freelance Java Developer
An important client of ours is looking for an experienced web developer to join their team in 2014.
DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
He/she will contribute to the implementation and support for different projects: ie
- Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, evaluation studies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices in a specific area of ICT infrastructure technology (eg database management systems, Java Enterprise technology, enterprise & web content management, XML, portals, business process management and rule execution engines, interoperability, business activity monitoring and Business Intelligence technologies, Web 2.0, .NET technology, application life cycle management, test driven development, search technologies, )
- Provision of quality plans, quality assessments, quality control tests, evaluations and service level agreements associated with information system infrastructure services or projects;
- Assistance in the implementation of a software engineering methodology;
- Provision of security studies, security assessments and other specific security matters related to ICT infrastructures;
- Elaboration of functional and non-functional requirements and business case analysis related to the area of expertise;
- Elaboration of vision documents focused upon infrastructure components;
- Risk analysis;
- Review of Information Systems Infrastructure Architectures;
- Provision of technical evaluations and audit reports in relation with information systems infrastructure.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The candidates shall have:
- At least 7 years of relevant experience;
- Bachelor of Master degree;
- In depth knowledge of information systems infrastructure matters;
- Excellent knowledge of Java and Java EE technology;
- Excellent knowledge of service oriented architecture, design of Internet applications, web services and XML;
- Knowledge of RUP, UML and design patterns;
- Knowledge of relational database, SQL and JDBC;
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and JSP;
- Knowledge of JPA, Hibernate, JSF, SVN, Eclipse, JIRA, Ant, Bamboo, Weblogic and Oracle DB is an asset;
- Proven experience with quality procedures;
- Proven experience in information systems security;
- Strong experience in ICT consulting and the realisation of ICT studies (aptitude to write clear and structured technical documents);
- Strong experience in the domain of the study (eg quality control, security, requirements analysis, performance analysis, a specific technical domain like vulnerability testing, business process modelling, );
- Excellent knowledge of English and very good knowledge of French. Any other language is a plus;
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills;
- Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment;
- Experience in similar projects is a plus.
