A Pharmaceutical company located in Dublin is currently hiring a Senior QC Chemist to join their QC department on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company in a supervisory role. There are excellent opportunities to grow and develop both your technical skills and your people management skills.The ideal candidate will have experience working in a QC testing environment within a pharmaceutical or medical device company.
Senior QC Chemist duties:
- Assist the Laboratory Manager in achieving company goals.
- Day to day scheduling of laboratory activities.
- Using the existing laboratory tools to generate and maintain performance related metrics.
- Timely close out of deviations and/or investigations.
- Assist with the timely completion of data reviewing as required.
- To identity training requirements and training of QC Chemists within laboratory and organize training as required.
- To test and analyse in a timely and efficient manner.
- To calibrate and check calibrations of laboratory instrumentation.
- Reporting on results via correct documentation in real time.
- To complete all deviation reports and/or investigations correctly and in a timely manner.
- To draft procedures and company documentation as required.
- To ensure that all work carried out is in compliance with the required standards conforming to company, cGxP, SOPs, regulatory regulations and guidelines, safety and environmental guidelines.
- To identify and make recommendations for improvements as part of a team within or outside the department in order to ensure continuous improvement.
- Recruit, train, manage and develop team.
Senior QC Chemist requirements:
- Third level qualification in a scientific discipline.
- 2-3 years experience as a QC Chemist or relevant experience.
- Experience with routine QC testing and stability testing.
- Excellent HPLC experience.
