Senior BI Developer, West Midlands, SQL/MDX/SSAS, £40,000 - £50,000

A leading international firm is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer who has extensive experience working with SQL/MDX/SSAS to assist in the development of data warehouse, business intelligence and data quality solutions, within a globally distributed environment. This person must be an extremely detail oriented self-starter and have the skills necessary to support the businesses evolving business intelligence needs.

Job Requirements:

* 5-10+ years of Microsoft SQL Server or equivalent in a development capacity
* 3-5+ Years Microsoft Analysis Services (including solid experience ad-hoc queries and reporting using MDX)
* Experience working with business users
* SQL Server 2008 or higher
* Microsoft Analysis Services 2008 or higher
* Advanced fluency in SQL
* Advanced fluency in MDX
* Thorough understanding of Relational database concepts and data modeling
* Thorough understanding of Dimensional database concepts and data modeling
* Knowledge of data warehouse concepts
* Strong data / problem analysis skills
* Ability to multi-task and reprioritise
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences
* Ability to multi-task and function well independently
* Strong analytical skills and a good attention to detail

This is a lead developer role and the successful candidate will be tasked with acting as a technical lead on several major projects over the next 24 months.

This candidate will be well remunerated, as this post offers a basic salary of between 40-50,000 per annum in addition to an excellent benefits package.
