Job summary:Director of Operations

In this director role, you will have an influential hand in the expansion, improvement, and direct oversight of two plant management teams. Responsibilities include manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, scheduling, validation, engineering, maintenance, metrology, and continuous improvement.
Duties:
- Leading investigations, demonstrating trouble shooting and root cause analysis
- Building the Manufacturing organizational structure
- Working with Quality and Regulatory to assure Operations are compliant with regulations
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance metrics and identify and implement improvements
- Manage development of the Supply Chain to ensure fulfillment of customer needs
- Help deploy Lean Manufacturing techniques in the area of Compliance, Cost Reduction, Customer Fulfillment, and Cash Flow
- Work with Engineering to increase capacity in the manufacturing suites
- Manage change control and support exception management
- Oversee Facilities Management
- Develop preventative maintenance plan for equipment and systems
- Support process development of new products
Qualifications:
- Hands on Operations management experience
- Six Sigma and/or Lean process experience
- Experience working in a Pharma/Biologics
- Knowledge of basic laboratory and pharmaceutical production equipment including but not limited to: process tanks, filtration systems, analytical equipment, filling units, and CIP systems
- Experience with Supply Chain Management
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred but not required
