Description
This position will be responsible for production build plan, production kanban fulfillment, demo products fulfillment, materials procurement and inventory control.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review production build plan and issue work orders to production.
- Work closely with production team to ensure work orders and kits are provided on time.
- Follow up with production on any work order opened in WIP.
- Transfer materials as needed into CER kanban bin and perform transactions such as backflush, frontflush in QAD according to inventory control procedure.
- Perform work order receipt, entering work order labor, and closing work order.
- Review indirect materials and plan the procurement for production needs.
- Identify qualified suppliers and negotiate for better pricing for indirect materials.
- Maintain effective and proper relations with suppliers for promoting better services.
- Work closely with IQC and prioritize materials for inspection to meet production schedules.
- Coordinate the inventory transfer from one warehouse to another; for example Milstone, Raleigh, QTS, and San Jose.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and high level of accuracy in materials inventory as measured by cycle count materials kanban in the CER and Stockroom.
- Maintain compliance to GMP/QSR systems in coordination with Baxano Surgical Quality System.
- Provide support to Shipping and Receiving Clerk as needed.
- Communicate any issues related to product quality or workplace safety to Management.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Job Experience:
- 2 years college degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years experience in the medical device/pharmaceutical field or in a related area.
Special Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:
- QAD experience is required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficientcy with MS Word and Excel.
