Capacity Management Analyst - contract - financial services
My global client is looking for a capacity management analyst to join a new capacity management function that will manage capacity planning, storage and performance management across their systems, Servers and networks and are looking for people with strong skills/knowledge of:
- IBM Tivoli Storage Manager across Linux and Windows platforms
- NetApp Data Ontap version 7 and above
- Experience around Database performance issues, covering Oracle and SQL
- BMC toolset or equivalent Performance Assurance for Unix and Windows
- Unix and Windows advanced level performance and optimisation skills
Skills: ESX Server, Linux, iSeries, AS400, Wintel, Citrix, Solaris, AIX, SAN, Networks (Voice/Data)
Responsibilities will include:
- Create, monitor and operate data back-up and restore procedures across all IT platforms.
- Ensure adherence to data quality/management best practices
- Enforce security standards on data stored on corporate infrastructure
- Ensure adoption of standard data tools and monitoring processes
- Establish Data Service classes, defining availability, response times, projected growth, therefore defining placement within IT infrastructure
- Supply guidelines on data placement within the infrastructure
- Produce regular and ad-hoc usage/growth reports
- Produce audit/access reports as required
- Liaise between IT and third party storage/TSM suppliers
- Monitor storage utilisation, and produce regular reporting to Senior Management
- Awareness and adherence to Information Security guidelines.
