A large consultancy (FTSE 500)
The Role:-
Ongoing development and support of their client's website. This is to be carried out during the next 3-4 years.
Responsibilities:-
1. Responsible for the technical design and development as per specification.
2. Development and implementation of enhancements, changes, and fixes to the site.
3. Using expert technical knowledge, provide technical resource effort estimates on development and change requests.
4. Provide and maintain documentation.
Essential skills required :
Should have at least 4 years of experience in the following areas (ideally the first four):-
Liferay CMS
Alfresco
Java/J2EE design patterns and concepts
Web development
Spring 3.0.2
JSP 2.0 with JSTL expression language
CSS
JavaScript
Web content publishing concepts
XML
MyEclipse IDE
Java SE 6 development
Java development experience with multi-lingual data files, inc. dual-byte character sets
Good general communication skills should be suitable
Desirable skills to add on a nice to have' basis would be:
JQuery/dynamic HTML
Java web services
HTML 5.0
Mobile device development
Implementation of video streaming solutions
JBoss administration
Linux Redhat 5.x administration
