Description
Manage complex projects through the design, development, testing and debugging phases of an application delivery cycle as well as designing and developing components of the service as an individual contributor.- Uses appropriate programming language and technology to write code, complete programming and documentation, and perform testing and debugging of applications.
- Provide technical and analytical input/guidance to project team and assist developers regarding project architecture and application programming practices.
- Manages individual projects and works as an individual contributor; is responsible for completing projects within allotted timeline.
- Assists with definition of project scope and objectives, as well as provides technical architecture input and coordinates programming practices of a project team, and identifies resource needs
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates and status reports.
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
- Ensures adherences to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
- Analyses and solves problems.
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, web, or Mobility related applications
- Interact with clients to gather and document project requirements, specifications and to determine technical feasibility.
Application Development experience required
- Must have experience with Unix
- Red Prairie Logistics Integrator experience required
- Design and Development including MOCA, SQL, and C++ experience.
- RedPrairie Parcel and Java experience a plus.
- 5+ years of real-world experience managing projects and developing applications web based and/or Mobile on Windows and/or J2EE platforms. Java as appropriate.
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Project Management
- Solid working knowledge of associated development environments: Visual Studio, Windows or Linux. Concepts, Microsoft .NET 4.0/4.5(or relevant current version), C, ASP.NET, WCF, Silverlight 4.0, JavaScript, XML, Oracle or other SQL based DB, Visual Studio or current version. Information Services(IIS).
- Implementation of Web Services and RESTFUL API's
- Strong Communication skills (oral/written)
- Demonstrated ability to identify real-world problems and develop technical solutions to solve them.
- Must be self-motivated, versatile, and have an ability to multi-task in a fast paced and constantly evolving development environment
