Description
Turner is seeking a senior software developer to build video player technologies on mobile and connected devices such as Android phones and tablets, Windows 8 phones and tablets, iOS devices, Apple TV, HTML5, and XBox among others.
The video player is used by many Turner brands to build their mobile applications such as truTV-2-Go, Watch TBS, Watch Cartoon Network, Watch TNT and Watch CNN. March Madness will also use the Android player for the 2014 NCAA tournament.
The right candidate must be able to work alone as well as in a team and be able to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality and defect-free code for projects throughout the year that have fixed deadlines. Working on a small-dedicated team, the candidate will collaborate with product development, various technical teams and 3rd party vendors. Qualifications:
- Work close with Technical leads to maintain and extend a custom video player framework for Android.
- Collaborate with Product Management on proof of concepts, demos, and prototypes.
- Willing to demonstrate working prototypes and designs to other team members
- Document designs clearly and efficiently Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years experience with Java
- 3+ years experience developing on mobile platforms (preferably Android).
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree
