Our large direct client needs an experienced Release/Configuration Manager. Will define, communicate and enforce release policy regarding how, who and when each release process' phase gate passes its entry/exit criteria (includes major, interim releases and daily production fix patches).

Planning:
. Facilitate and agree on release scope, prioritization, resource and cost with stake holders.
. Determine release strategies, resolve schedule and environment conflicts.
. Provide final release milestone schedule input to stake holders.
. Confirm and communicate release milestone dates to all teams.
. Review and ensure all change approvals and software builds are provided before release to Test/UAT environments.
. Coordinate non-production environment data refreshes and software builds/deployments in Test/UAT environments.
. Coordinate and ensure environment connectivity tests are completed before releasing to testing teams.
. Review and approve all changes to non-production environments.
. Review and obtain QA acceptance before proceeding to Regression/UAT.
. Enforce code freeze policy after QA acceptance.
. Review and obtain Regression/UAT acceptance before proceeding to production deployment preparation.

Preparation:
. Create and assemble resources for production roll-out plan.
. Conduct and document release go/no-go decision with management.
. Send out reminder/confirmation of release outage notification to users.
. Confirm and approve release artifacts + roll-out plan then submit for change CAB approval.
. Review release readiness and prepare support teams on roll-out schedule/plan.
. Coordinate and deploy release to production.
. Coordinate post deployment Dev/QA verification before hand-off to the users.
. Review and document any issues during production roll-out.
. Conduct learned lessons with all teams on how we can improve

5+ years IT experience
4+ years Build/Release/Configuration Management experience
Must have excellent communication skills
