Summary:

The Warehouse/Operations Manager will maintain and be responsible for managing movement, tracking, warehousing and shipping of finished goods for the Supply Chain/Logistics organization. The goal is to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages the movement, tracking, warehousing and shipping of finished goods for California Warehouse within our customer guarantee / expectation.
  • Ensure that warehouse documentation for processes and procedures are updated and accurate.
  • Manages logistics cost performance measures; identifies opportunities to streamline and develop processes and manage shipping/operational costs.
  • Leads safety programs driving the adoption and execution of practice.
  • Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment;
  • Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
  • Works cross functionally to develop and implement processes to improve the supply chain logistics and warehousing activities
  • Develops and measures department KPI's; develops improvement processes to drive increased operational performances.
  • Ensures best business practices are applied organizationally through supply chain logistics as well as with staff members.
  • Develops, coaches and mentors subordinate staff.
  • Collaborate and communicate procedural changes and updates with other warehouse managers to ensure all warehouses are maintaining best practice and current procedures.
  • Evaluate global activities to ensure best practice and lean operational cost.
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications related to the industry; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • International and Domestic Logistics management
  • Works cross functionally to develop and implement processes to improve the supply chain logistics processes.
  • Take periodic inventories and participate in monthly inventory program.
  • Supervise all aspects of daily operations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.


Experience and Requirements:
  • BS or BA Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline is required.
  • 7-10 years of manufacturing production/operations, supply chain logistics, warehouse management, or engineering experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility is required.
  • Proven success in a supervisory or managerial role is required.
  • Shipping or manufacturing continuous improvement experience is preferred.
  • General knowledge of the applicable standard grades and qualities of equipment, materials and supplies.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems is required.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Knowledge of Warehouse KPI's
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with associates
  • Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
