  • Supports project conception and design and study start up activities
  • Performs sample size and power calculations
  • Reviews database specifications
  • Develops statistical analyst plans with oversight
  • Develops table shells
  • Supports or leads quality control checks during programming
  • Supports or leads the uploading/downloading of data transfers
  • Supports or leads initial review of raw variables
  • Develops written specifications for derived variables from oral subscriptions
  • Selects and programs appropriate statistical procedures with oversight
  • Develops and supports the design of deliverables, such as project reports and outputs, graphs and tables
  • Writes methods and results sections of final reports and publications
  • Works with oversight or independently with client or investigators on defined subtasks
  • Provides both internal and external technical presentations
  • Represents Statistical Analysis in proposal/RFI development of statistics only projects with oversight
  • Undertakes other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time
  • Support writing of statistical methods sections of study protocols
  • Support development of new SOPs and revision of current SOPs


Expereince / Skills :
  • Bachelor's Degree, with preferred educational degree in a related field such as statistics, epidemiology, quantitative research methods, biology/medicine, etc.
  • Working knowledge of SAS Data step with simple conditional statements and variable creation
  • Working knowledge of simple merges and concatenation
  • Exposure to macros and arrays for repetitive tasks
  • Exposure to complex merges (including one-to-many merges)
  • Exposure to descriptive statistics procedures for summarizing. Restructuring and outputting data
  • Exposure to SAS Output Delivery System to control output from statistical procedures
  • Working knowledge of analyses using basic statistical procedures
  • Exposure to at least one advanced SAS statistical procedure or technique (e.g. repeated measures, survival analysis, SAS/Graph, advance macros, etc.)
