SAP APPLICATIONS OWNER / CHANGE AND RELEASE - PERMANENT - £70,000 -£79,000 PLUS EXCELLENT

Our oil and gas client is currently recruiting for an SAP application owner with the following skills.

The Business & Systems Support Services (B&SS) team delivers and manages a suite of common processes and services for Enterprise Systems, based upon the ITIL framework. The B&SS team in ES aims to deliver a stable and highly reliable suite of applications, based mainly around the SAP application suite.

Within B&SS, the Service Delivery Management team is accountable to the business for the delivery of B&SS services and responsible for:

* Management of the relationship between segment CIOs, Segment IT&S teams, business representatives and ES (Projects, Strategy & Architecture, Ops Planning, ISDC)

* Being the conduit for communication between GOI B&SS and the segment CIOs

* Agreeing Budget (Run, LTO & Continuous Improvement investment) with the segment CIO's to meet all aspects of service requirements agreed with the business (including availability, capacity and disaster recovery)

* Gatekeeping the change of the service (including application and dedicated infrastructure) through normal Operations and through project implementations.

* Managing Transition to support for all project implementations affecting the service

* Owning and managing an integrated Service Improvement plan

* Supporting the operation of effective support processes through the provision of business context and/or technical knowledge.

* Initiating escalation to the appropriate B&SS central team and process owner when necessary

An Application Owner is responsible for

- Gatekeeping all changes (normal operations & projects) on an application or group of applications (including related infrastructure) in order to maintain the service expected by the business

- Continuous improvement of the service, by owning and managing a service improvement plan for each application in remit and its related components

- Supporting the delivery of the service by the Central B&SS teams

- Providing business context and coordinating B&SS and business interaction with respect to the operational support of one or more SAP applications within B&SS

The remit of the Portal Application Owner is the shared portal applications ERV (internal) and FRV (external). This role reports to the Head of Shared SAP Applications.
