Software Asset Manager CONTRACT in Belgium!
Proteus Europe, operating as an employment agency, is seeking a talented Software Asset Manager to work on a contract basis in Brussels, Belgium.Our client a leading corporation is looking for an experienced Software Asset Manager to join them initially on a 2 month contract.
The role:
- Gather and evaluate current and future license demand for our client
- Coordinate optimization of entitlement volumes and costs
- Act as facilitator between Procurement, Finance and IT Custodians in a pro-active manner
- Translate contractual clauses into IT recommendations and license consumption metrics
- Explain optimal usage of entitlements (group presentations and individual coaching)
- Formalize IT expert proposals into requirements for contract negotiations
- Manage the Belgian pool of licenses for products in your scope and trigger additional purchases
- Grant and revoke licenses to users and keep track of the available stock
- Provide input on license cost or return for business cases
- Report to management on license consumption, entitlements and compliance position
- Facilitate all parties in case of vendor audits on products in your scope
- Perform internal audits on license consumption
Requirements:
- Master degree in IT or economics
- Broad knowledge of IT hardware and software
- Experience with license contracts
- Experience with business cases
- Understanding of how to prepare for audits
- Analytical skills
- Conceptual thinking
- Good communication skills (English as working language)
- Ability to define and follow-up action plans
- A Team player and facilitator
- Able to implement SAM processes throughout the organization
- Result oriented
- Able to work with internal and external service providers
- Able to communicate complex matters in an understandable manner
- Eager to learn constantly
