Oracle DBA - Sheffield - Banking - £500/dayMy client a leading top tier one bank, are looking for an Oracle DBA to join their team for a rolling 6 month contract.

ES&A databases provides infrastructure and support services to GBM (Global Banking & Markets) globally and across all asset classes (fixed income, structured products, equities, forex, institutional investments, private clients, private banking, securities services, and global banking and capital markets) from front front office to post trade, including finance, risk, and research departments.
Key Duties:
* Implementation and maintenance of database server, replication and client environments and definition of standards pertaining to the configuration and operation of database server and client components.
* 24 hour * 7 days support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by our business systems.
* Security and access control to meet internal and external audit requirements
* Optimising performance and ensuring effective use of hardware resources.
* Development of infrastructure and investigation of 3rd party products required to provide production, test and development database services in a cost-effective manner.
