I am currently looking to recruit both Senior Project Managers and 2 Project Engineers for a client of mine that is based in Essex.

The client specialise in the installation of HV, Telecomms and Fibre Optic cables.

Purpose: To lead a Project Team in the day to day delivery of project and also support the Project Delivery Director, Installation in the roll out of Department Quality Improvement initiatives. Working within agreed procedures to ensure that contracted work is completed on time, within budget and to quality requirements. Accompanying the project from an agreed point in the solution design process, and then manage and closely monitor the project throughout the planning, execution / controlling and closing stages. Instrumental in commercial and technical execution of the Project, and contribute to the Lessons Learnt Database and continuous improvement.

Key Deliverables:
* Carry out detailed Project Risk Assessments, prepare Risk Response Planning in liaison with other stakeholders.
* Manage the project plan and ensure that it is fully up to date and available to all stakeholders.
* Be the prime point of contact between the Customer and GMSL for the contracted project in conjunction with the Clients nominated representative.
* Manage contracted project according to established procedures; these may vary according to the nature of the project, i.e. subsea cable maintenance, installation, marine renewables, defence, survey, Oil and Gas, Power Cables.
* Prime person responsible to ensure project budget is maintained or improved.
* Ensure best levels / balance of quality, cost, time and scope are met.
* Lead and motivate diverse Project Teams of Fleet and Office personnel to a common goal.
* Report on project performance internally (and externally as required) at frequent & regular intervals, using dedicated Project Accountant & software.
* Identify in advance any potential overruns in terms of cost or schedule, and take action to mitigate if required.
* Work with the Director in rolling out internal Project Delivery Quality Improvements.
* Feed back internally on project/company performance.
* Measure and maintain KPIs and ensure all stakeholders are fully aware and operate within these constraints.
* Work with Fleet Support Directorate to ensure operating KPIs are consistent with projects requirements

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
* Thorough experience and knowledge of the GMSL Project Management methodology.
* Previous experience of working with EPCI Contracts
* Proven experience working within a cross-functional environment
* Thorough knowledge of the marine engineering industry, encompassing Telecoms, Power, Oil and Gas and other core and non-core marine sectors
* Strong and demonstrable Project Management skills
* Relevant degree or education consistent with good analytical capability
* Approved Project Management Qualification (APM, PMP, PRINCE or similar)
* A willingness and thirst to drive through new ways of working
* Results-orientated individual with a desire to improve performance
* Relevant track record for work in the offshore oil, gas, telecom and/or power sector.
