Storage Engineer - Antwerp Region

Skills

Excellent knowledge of Storage Arrays, SAN and NAS and being able to deploy, manage and troubleshoot these environments on a daily base.

Excellent knowledge of common storage provisioning tasks and concepts ( Zoning, LUN masking, mapping), on previous mentioned systems

Solve performance issues, performance monitoring, planning and tuning.

Knowledge of Backup concepts and backup technology, specifically NetBackup, including via LAN, via SAN and advanced backup technologies is a plus

In depth knowledge of integration of SAN components into OS (UNIX, VMware, Linux, Windows) is a plus

Able to integrate his/her technical knowledge and skills in an environment that is highly regulated and subject to different ITIL based processes (Change Management, Incident Management, Asset Management,)

Environment Development Tool(s) and Platform(s)

SAN environment based on Brocade technology (DCX, 48K & smaller models)

Disk Arrays (HP stack, Netapp stack, Ctera)

Command View XP, CVAE, Performance Advisor, Command View EVA, Brocade tools BNA, Raid Manager HPUX, Linux, Windows

Role

The Storage Services team is responsible for deployment, standardization and support of the storage environment in EMEA & ASPAC

Main focus will be deployment of SAN & NAS storage systems

Deployment, management, support, troubleshooting of the storage environment in EMEA. This includes the high end data storage, Storage Area Network.

Disc space provisioning to middle and large size systems in different business related projects

Global project member to align the clients storage worldwide with regards to tooling and/or infrastructure and ability to align with globally imposed processes

Identify optimization opportunities through consolidation or simplification and executes those plans if there are substantial strategic/cost justifications
