Description
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:- BSME, MSME with 5-8 years of experience in mechanical/ R&D engineering within the medical device industry.
- 5+ years designing with solid modeling tools such as SolidWorks and/or Pro-E.
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing design hand-off
- A passion for building, creating, and working in creative environments
- Superb communication and team-management skills, with demonstrated ability to problem solve as part of a team
- Experience managing risk and accountability against a timeline on efforts containing a significant portion of novel development
- Strong technical presentation skills
PERFORMANCE OF ENGINEERING TASKS:
- Analysis of physical systems in terms of stress and strain, heat transfer, kinematics, etc.,
- Design of physical systems, including fabrication tooling, and test fixtures, and product,
- Verification and validation testing,
- Understanding of new technologies, commercial fabrication techniques, etc.,
- Understanding the root cause of technical problems encountered by observation, manipulation, and testing of failed components, and proposing solutions,
- Thorough completion of documentation associated with work product,
- Effective, persuasive communication of work product to the entire organization
