Leading Pharmaceutical client based in South East England currently have a long term contract requirement for an experienced Supply Chain Manager.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director you will be working for a leading pharmaceutical client specialising in the manufacture of Therapeutic Products throughout the full manufacturing lifecycle including API extraction/purification from a botanical ingredient and drug product development.

Working on a number of projects we are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager with previous pharmaceutical/Biopharm background fully aware of GMP requirements.

The Role:
You will be required to support a range of daily & longer term operational & improvement activities to meet current & future business needs. The role is likely to be varied and will involve significant internal & external stakeholder engagement supporting a complex supply chain delivering cool-chain controlled drug product to global destinations.

Projects:
* Improvement activities
* Supplier Selection
* ERP rolled out within the supply chain
* Warehouse improvement

You will be required to work alongside a range of internal and external stakeholders including suppliers, partners, depots, distributors and international Regulatory and Legislative Authorities. A strong Pharmaceutical background coupled with excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills both orally and in writing are required.

Skills & Experience required:

* Experienced Supply Chain professional
* Pharmaceutical/ Biopharma background/ experience essential
* Similar management experience approx 7 years
* Supply Chain / materials / operations / Logistics management experience
* Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will hold sufficient industry experience and personal gravitas to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.

This position is suitable for an experienced Pharmaceutical professional with excellent organisation, project management, Continuous Improvement, problem solving and inter-personnel skills - essential to succeed in this role. A good understanding of operational H&S, FDA/MHRA requirements, LEAN, management KPI’s and experience of employee supervision within a pharmaceutical setting is required.
