Chase Resourcing in conjunction with our main client in the Information Technology & Finance sector are actively looking to secure the services of a Windows Server Engineer to aid in the admin of the Microsoft Server and OS. This role within the framework of a Multinational Financial Institution is a real opportunity to join one of the fastest growing ICT enterprises in Ireland.
Position Responsibilities/Duties:
An experienced Server Engineer is required to join our Support team in Tralee responsible for the support and maintenance of Windows Servers and Voice & Data networks supporting the business within the Americas and EMEA regions. Candidates will be required to participate in a shift rota.
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft: Windows Administration, Active Directory
- Citrix: XenApp 5/6, PVS, AppSense 7/8
- Programming languages: Korn shell, Java, XML,
- Symantec Netbackup 6.5/7
- CISCO: UCS Blade Chassis and FI
- VMWARE: ESXi, vCenter, Update Manager, vMotion, DRS, Distributed Switches
- Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Storage: SAN technologies, Fibre-channel, iSCSI, WWN
Experience:
- Previous Wintel project experience including infrastructure implementation and deployment
- Good understanding of Windows infrastructures (including 2003 & 2008)
- Established experience in enterprise Citrix/XenApp infrastructure
- Experience of managing virtualised infrastructure
- Customer focused, flexible and willing to take ownership of issues
- Good interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication
