C# WPF Silverlight Developer - York - 3 months - £260 to £310Our client, a major legal firm, are looking for a C# WPF Silverlight Software Developer to come on board as soon as possible for an initial 3 month contract. The project will be a continuation of their ongoing project creating a bespoke case management system so Brownfield experience is an absolute must. The ideal person will be joining the project at the end of the 2nd stage so you must have experience of joining projects half way through.
The ideal candidate will posses the following essential skills:
- XAML
- WPF
- Silverlight
- C#
- WCF - exposure with SOAP
- LINQ
- Entity Framework
- SQL Server
You will also ideally have the following though they are not essential:
- Git
- Agile/Scrum (ideally VersionOne)
- MVVM
- Test Driven Development
The candidate must be able to hit the ground running and work under pressure. Desktop Application development is an absolute must for the right C# WPF Silverlight Developer.
Front end and heavy web developers will not be considered unless they possess strong WPF and Silverlight experience in the last 12 to 18 months.
Due to the nature of the project, it is going to last much longer than 3 months so you must be happy to consider extensions on after your initial 3 months.
