Contract Checkpoint/Juniper/Cisco Network Engineer French/English Braine-l'Alleud 1 year
A company based at Braine l'Alleud is currently looking for a Network engineer who has good experience with Checkpoint, Juniper and Cisco and who speaks French, Dutch and English for a basic contract of a year with extension.
Daily duties:
You are in charge for the installation, Maintenance and support LAN, WAN and Network security infrastructure.
Provide high-level technical support for different network services, creates and maintains network documentation, maintains hardware and software standards, and works projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures.
The Network Engineer must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of Routers, multilayer Switches, network security devices and network management systems.
You provide IT network solutions that address business requirements.
You manage Network security changes (ASA Firewall, ACL, VPN)
You put in place complex network changes.
You provide Level 1 to 3 network troubleshooting support.
You create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented network services.
You assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations.
Skills:
- You have a good experience in project management and in depth knowledge of LAN/WAN communications, network hardware such as Cisco Routers, Ethernet Switches, gateways and Firewalls.
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
- You have a strong experience with Checkpoint and Juniper.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with technologies like MPLS, QoS, Wireless, and some experience with Cisco ISR, ASR, Catalyst, ASA, ACE platforms.
- Candidate must be a team player and be able to follow processes and procedures.
- Self-disciplined, self-starter, professional who can successfully bring projects to closure with minimum direction, guidance and oversight.
- Cisco certifications like CCNP, CCDP, are considered as key advantages.
- Experience with Unified Communications (IP Telephony, Video), Data Center Network, Network security and wireless technology would be seen as a clear advantage.
- At least Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 5+ years of experience in similar position.
- You are fluent in English and French.
