Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Cira £60K. South East AberdeenProgressive Global Energy is currently working with a leading subsea design company in the recruitment of a Senior Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in their office based in South East Aberdeen.
As a Senior Design Engineer you will be responsible for the development of drawings and Bills Materials for the redesign and modification of legacy subsea equipment. This is very much a project base role; working very closely with an international operator.
Required Product knowledge and skills:
- Tubing hangers
- Wellheads
- Xmas Trees
- Autocad
- Inventor
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Development of drawings
- Engineering investigation on equipment
- Provide estimates of engineering hours for both work as well as quotes
- Undertake the checking of drawings and work carried out by peers as well as mentor junior engineers
- Provide technical advice and knowledge to external customers
- You may also be required to lead junior engineers to deliver larger scale projects
Required Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in engineering. However a candidate holding a HND/HNC may be considered if they have gained extensive industry experience.
- Understanding of manufacturing process and workshop practices
