Description
My client are looking for an experienced Content Engineer with Cable/Digital TV experience.
You will be required to support the design, development, testing, integration and deployment phases of all the designated content value added services offered by a Cable/Digital TV company. You will require experience with Head End messaging and interfaces and have a hands on mentatlity and be able to communicate well with numerous vendors.
Job Requirements.
- Two or more years of experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge and experience with Cable/Digital TV companies.
- Hands on and theoretical knowledge of networking technologies (HTTP, TCP/IP, FTP,..)
- Hands on and theoretical knowledge of application integration technologies (XML, HTTP REST, JMS, SOAP)
- Hands on knowledge and experience with Unix (preferably on system admin level)
- Familiar with SQL
- Must possess, or develop, a broad knowledge of non-IT systems eg broadcast systems and standards.
- Experiences with testing applications
- Must be able to work under pressure and be prepared to occasionally work outside normal working hours when necessary.
- Ability to understand and validate functional requirements against technical specifications
- Ability to understand impacts of technical solutions on non-technical aspects of projects (eg project planning, operational aspects)
- Excellent English.
