I am currently looking for 2 x specialist C++, GUI Software Engineer to join an exciting technology firm paying up to £55,000 in Southampton.The Pension comes with a strong benefits package which includes Pension, Private Medical Insurance, Sick Pay and more.

They are a technology driven organisation that develops, manufactures, markets and exports hi-tech electronic goods under a number of leading brands.
The company is market leaders in there field and target their products into the marine & leisure industry.
You will be based in their Southampton office which has a friendly, collaborative team feel but you will also be working with offshore R&D teams in America and across the world.
The role:
It is very focused on new product design and existing product improvement. On a day to day basis you will be working on new and existing products, managing third party supplies and working on full lifecycle projects from conception - testing. I am looking for Senior engineers with commercial experience and who may have an interest to going towards managing a small team in the future.
Responsibilities:
Deployment of system and application software for embedded products and systems.
Develop software for a variety of target platforms.
Ensuring customers are receiving products that meet or exceed their expectations in terms of features, ease of use and time to market.
Identify and manage software-related risks so that effect on functionality or delivery is minimised.
Investigating new technologies / product / gaps in market and creating prototypes
Skills:
Strong experience in C++ design and development to be able to develop software for complex multi- threaded object oriented real time
GUI
A knowledge of Qt would be beneficial but not essential
Experience of system debugging
A good understanding of electronic hardware design is desirable.
