Our direct client is in need of a Marketing Data Analyst at their location in Warren, NJ. This is a 12 month Contract position with the likelihood of being temp-to-hire. The role requires a strong blend of business and data knowledge.

This position requires a person who can:
- Work with internal clients to understand complex business requirements; deliver marketing data solutions that will support their business initiatives and results
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting, such as customer segmentation analysis, customer level and market analysis, prospect generation (including account rounding opportunities), marketing campaign metrics
- Understand all aspects of applications, data, and technologies used in Marketing to support the business customer
- Understand data integration and entity relationships; has ability to read and interpret physical and logical data models including dimensional and relational models.
- Understand all business data that supports marketing: define new marketing data elements and maintain existing marketing data; understand how data flows through marketing applications;
- Understand data quality concepts and data assessment processes; profile data and find data anomalies; make recommendations for monitoring data quality
- Understand and identify best sources of data either within the company or with 3rd party data vendors - Communicate and collaborate with technical IT teams such as data architects, data modelers, source system subject matter experts, ETL developers, and business analysts in order to develop and maintain marketing applications and their underlying databases.
- Identify and resolve data related issues
- Make recommendations for new tools to support marketing applications
- Perform customer identity matching and profiling.
- Develop and execute marketing analytics using data tools such as SAS, SQL, Excel, Cognos reporting.
- Manage relationships with 3rd Party data vendors.
- Facilitate pilot or proof of concept marketing projects in order to develop meaningful solutions for key stakeholders

- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis and marketing
- Must be proficient in SAS, SQL, Excel, Relational database concepts
