requires advanced formal engineering education, prior experience in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety/Hazard analysis of systems and/or equipment design, superior problem solving skills and independent decision-making ability. The role includes the ability to work with the design teams during the initial, development and product validation phases to provide support and input into the RAMS process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the project team and team leads to acquire product/equipment information as required;
  • Developing initial Functional FMEA, FTA, Reliability Prediction;
  • Determination of FMEA levels and failure probability;
  • Developing Component level FMEA, FTA, Reliability Prediction;
  • Collaborating with designers to perform causal analyses of detected problems;
  • Identifying and communicating technical risks;
  • Organise internal and external (customer) project reviews as required;
  • Provide review material, orientation/training as required;
  • Generate reports and statistics;
  • Prepare, Provide and Discuss all reports and analysis with the appropriate PE (Project Engineer) and/or team leads as required;
  • Preparation of required data and information and presentation to customers as required for PDR' s, CDR' s etc.
  • Maintenance of Company Engineering Operational Procedures as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree, Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Some HW design experience preferred
  • Familiar with Embedded Real Time systems preferred
  • Understands System Safety Assessment process
  • More than five years experience in Aerospace Electronics or a related industry
  • Experienced with MIL-STD-217F or Relex (WindChill) 217 Plus
  • Experienced in Reliability tools - Relex (WindChill) preferred
  • Knowledge of Reliability Development Growth Tests (RDGT) process, HALT and HASS is a definite asset
