Description
A leading Financial Software firm in downtown Boston is looking to bring on an experienced Java engineer. This person will be a part of a tight nit team working within the Investment Technology group and specifically on the Foreign Exchange (FX) Platform.Responsibilities:
- Developing high-quality code based on a technical design.
- Participating in agile development.
- Building and maintaining high throughput, multi-threaded, native, JVM applications.
- Performing unit testing to support system testing.
- Contributing to the development community by researching new technology and development tools.
- Work closely with business users to develop simple solutions to complex business problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
- Strong development experience in Java or Scala.
- Experience with functional programming is desired.
- Experience with Git, Hudson, Maven, SBT is a plus.
- Experience working within a Financial organization is a plus.
- Experience engineering in a Foreign Exchange team a plus.
