This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skill set as a Petroleum Engineer and venture into mergers and acquisitions within Oil & Gas. This company is a small E&P company that is currently experiencing growth by acquisition. This position is a highly visible one within the company, and if your results are superb, the opportunity for growth is massive.
Job Description
- Review all potential acquisitions in the market place
- Contact brokers & operators and find deals that fit company's growth strategy
- Provide engineering technical analysis for acquisitions: forecasting production, expenses, capital, taxes, and net cash flow modeling using ARIES.
- Work with G&G department on getting company into new unconventional oil shale plays
- Monitor internal economics on company assets and provide guidance on divestitures
- Assist in putting together necessary technical data to put assets for sale on market
- Work closely with G&G, Land, Reservoir, and Operations Departments to be fully aware of internal company activities
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience within Oil & Gas industry
- Past experience of estimating reserves & completing economic evaluations
- B.S. in Engineering, preferably Petroleum Engineering
- U.S. onshore experience
- ARIES, Petra, Enertia experience
- Experience in volumetrics, material balance, decline curve analysis
- Past experience in evaluating of acquisitions and divestitures
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Willing to take on important and highly visible company role to help grow company into a new stage
