Description
Global banking organisation is seeking a Installation/Deployment Engineer to work with Project Managers to plan environment build out (software installations, application set up) following delivery of hardware and middleware.The successful applicant will be in the Deployment and Environment Support team, installing and upgrading 3rd party package software and building out and supporting the technical environments required to support the development, testing and implementation of the related projects.
KEY SKILLS
- Comprehensive understanding of IT systems development / deployment and excellent knowledge of project lifecycle, tools and methodologies used
- Strong and proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a successful virtual project team engagement
- Highly self motivated and proactive
- Ability to prioritise work and deliver to timescales
- A good working knowledge of the distributed or server based system environment
- Microsoft technology skills beneficial, but not essential.
- Flexibility of working hours and location to support productivity across multiple regions and time zones.
- AIX, Linux and DataStage familiarity
- Windows SQL Server familiarity
- Experience of working with and installing 3rd Party packages
