Cloud Software Engineer - 6 + Month contract, Leeds, c £300 per dayMy client, a global digital brand with a huge online presence based in central Leeds, is looking for a Software Engineer with excellent Linux skills to help develop the infrastructure software on Amazon Web Services.
Cloud Software Engineer - Skills and Experience:
- Significant development experience and ability to work with new technologies and different programming languages
- Experience programming in one or more of the following: Python, C++, Ruby PHP, node.js and bash scripts
- Significant Linux experience including Linux server administration
- Experienced in delivering large scale client server software solutions
- Degree in IT related discipline
- The successful candidate will also, ideally, have experience with Amazon Web Services and be familiar with DevOps principles and practices
Cloud Software Engineer - About the Role:
You will play an important role in developing the company's infrastructure software, scaling infrastructure to support websites which serve millions of page views every day. You will be working with both the internet and servers in detail and writing software around networking technologies including DNS, SSL, TCP/IP and Load Balancing.
