NRO Senior Programme Manager - Delivery/Ericsson/financial/customer

The Senior NRO (Network Roll Out) Programme Manager is responsible for the total project management of a significant rollout delivery programme for a key customer in Ireland.

Key responsibilities:

- The Senior Programme Manager is responsible to manage and direct a portfolio of interdependent project streams to ensure delivery output in accordance with contractual rollout targets.

- Responsible to develop and maintain the appropriate environment to support and lead project managers within programme, including the processes, ways of working and reporting to ensure an effective programme delivery

- Responsible to Monitor progress across all project streams and initiate proactive corrective action wherever appropriate, to ensure that deliverables are produced on time, within budget and to expected quality and customer experience levels.

- Responsible to manage exceptions, slippage and issues of priority, at programme level, escalating where required  and initiating proactive and mitigating actions to address same wherever appropriate. - Responsible for timely and effective reposting to senior stakeholders

- Responsible to manage customer expectations, building and maintaining strong customer relationships via effective engagement in the governance process and day to day engagement around programme status, risks and issues.

- Responsible to effectively manage and resolve escalations with the customer and internally

- Responsible to actively manage and mitigate programme risks.

- Responsible to effectively lead and drive efficiency of the programme delivery process, ensuring cost efficiency and optimum ways of working to deliver required outputs.

- Responsible to manage programme budget to ensure expenditure within cost budget and deliver improvements on business case margins.

- Responsible to provide leadership, command and control and direction to programme team. 

Qualification

- University degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering or equivalent

- PMP certification or equivalent essential.

- PgMP, PMI Programme Management Professional of equivalent preferable.

Experience

- Strong track record in successfully leading and delivering challenging targets in a high energy, customer centric and performance driven environment

- Proven experience in effective leadership across large programme teams to motivate to deliver challenging targets.

- Proven experience of successfully managing large NRO programme budgets and delivering improvements to business case.

- Proven experience of successfully driving improvements to ways of working and instilling command and control across a programme organisation to ensure a finely tuned delivery team.

- Proven proficiency in resource allocation via the effective and efficient deployment of resources, including reassessment and reallocation in a dynamic multi-project environment, to achieve optimum results.

- Proven ability to drive effective change management at programme level, ensuring customer alignment with view of scope changes and securing of cost coverage and/or add on sales where appropriate.

- Depth of experience in interfacing to customer organisations, at senior stakeholder level, and proven effectiveness in successful report, escalation management and effective relationship building in a results based environment.

- Proven effectiveness at internal stakeholder management, reporting, escalation and engagement to secure required support for programme success.

- Proven proficiency in Risk Management via the identification, assessment and mitigation management of risks, which could result in time or cost over-runs, or failure to deliver products which are fit for purpose.

- Takes a solution oriented approach in tackling business challenges.

- Highly development communication and reporting skills, including ability to effectively lead senior customer reporting and key messages.

- Strong in teamwork and stakeholder influencing and managing.

- Strong communicator able to motivate people as well as instill command and control as appropriate.

- Strong business acumen and commercial understanding. Depth of project financial competence across managing and reporting of project financial performance.

- Ability to implement process and structure and align to ensure strong governance that support customer contracted requirements.

- Ability to effectively translate customer demand into requirements on delivery and key role skill sets, experience and leadership ability

- Strong understanding of changing pace and culture of operator environment.

- Good cultural awareness and ability to manage performance of multicultural and diverse teams

- Excellent command of English communication, written and verbal.
