This is a great opportunity to join a large well known Financial Services Company who are now seeking a MS SQL Server DBA for a contract role.
  
You will be working as part of a close knit team of DBA's and will be responsible for SQL database design, enhancement and maintenance of SQL Server and Oracle databases.
  
The role will see you working within a large Microsoft centric environment.
Key aspects of the role will include:
  • Management of large scale production databases across MS SQL Server 2008 and 2012
  • Some Oracle 10g, backup and recovery, troubleshooting, capacity planning and performance tuning
To be considered for this role your skills will include;
  • Strong SQL Server DBA experience in a production environment
  • Proven experience in delivering technical solutions to the business 
  • Database backup and restores 
  • Performance Tuning
  • Transaction isolation levels 
  • T/ SQL development knowledge. 
  • SQL Clustering
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database Administration
  • Excellent communication and business stakeholder skills.
