For our client in Belgium we are currently looking for a Senior Information System Security Technician

Start: ASAP.

Duration: 1 year

Location: Brussels

Languages: English and French

Tasks
Within the registry team and under the supervision of the Information System Security Officer (SSO), the ISS Technician will be tasked to:

1. Coordinate the implementation of the Union Registry security/information classification policy by monitoring:
Commission CMS tools adaptation;
Messaging and office tools adaptation;
Digital certificates updates;
Deployment within the stakeholder of specific security tools.

2. Provide support to redesign and implementation activity of some specific part in relation with the Commission IT Directorate (DIGIT).

3. Provide support to any task in relation with the security as required by the SSO.

Expertise required

The requested service should require an expertise in:
1. Handling assets according to their classification;
2. Communication and operation security;
3. Network security; an in-depth knowledge of PKI, hardware token-based authentication, Firewalls and reverse-proxies would be an advantage;
4. Operating system security; an in-depth knowledge of Solaris virtualisation (zones) and Linux on x86 container technologies would be an advantage;
5. Middleware security; an in-depth knowledge of Oracle DBMS and WebLogic would be an advantage;
6. Experience in information system security within a governmental/public administration environment;
7. Experience within a security authority (National, NATO, EU or other) would be an advantage.
