Description

A manager at a top financial firm in Arlington, Virginia is looking for a SAS programmer to join ASAP.

Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools including skills to develop analysis queries and procedures in SAS will be ideal.

This person will also assist with the design and development of analytic datasets.

Credit, mortgage, and / or consumer loans experience is preferred.

Data quality and impact assessment, identification and integration of data from a variety of sources, as well as analysis and handling of data outliers and missing values will be part of the role.

This will be a 1 year contract that they will look to constantly extend or turn full time - please do not apply if you are not interested in something long term.

Rate will be based on experience.

Candidates MUST have a green card or be a US Citizen.

Ideally 5 plus years relevant work experience
* Strong SAS programming, experience with macros and proc sql.
* Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, access and other analytical tools, VBA and pivot tables experience preferred
* Ability to execute common UNIX commands is needed
* Credit Risk and ETL experience a big plus.
* Knowledge of financial analysis
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
